Information for Employers, Colleges, Training Providers and Staff

Employers - how can you help with Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance?

At MDSA, we believe that it is important for our students to be exposed to and educated about the variety of different options and pathways that are available to the when they leave school. In order to achieve this, we are committed to engaging with employers and education providers, to deliver a range of opportunities to our students.

Opportunities for employers to speak with students might include school assemblies, curriculum related careers events, employer engagement activities or opportunities to speak with students and parents on a one-to-one basic supporting GCSE, or Post 16 choices.

If this is something that you would like to take part in, please email office@manordrivesecondaryacademy.org

Colleges and Training Providers - how can you work with MDSA to provide information about your courses, technical qualifications and apprenticeships?

MDSA welcome representatives from further and higher education and technical colleges, together with apprenticeship providers. We value the importance of providing students with information regarding the full breadth of their career options, as well as supporting the application process and the transition process.

All requests are subject to availability of rooms and in consideration of our timetabled curriculum.

In addition to attending MDSA, you are welcome to submit information electronically relating to your provision. Wherever possible, we will provide this to students via home communication or for display on careers noticeboards.

If you are willing to support our students and are not yet working with our school, please contact us by email office@manordrivesecondary.org.uk

Staff- How can they support Careers at MDSA?

Tutors, in particular, have an important role in helping to raise students’ aspirations and providing information and advice about possible pathways after school.

Teachers are also a good source of information with regards to particular pathways into a variety of careers in each subject area.
