New Year 7 Students 2024/2025

We are very much looking forward to meeting your child and welcoming them in to our school community.

The Move Up Day for children transitioning to Manor Drive Secondary Academy in September 2024 will take place on Wednesday 3 July from 9am until 3pm.  Students will experience some subject taster sessions, a school tour and have their fingerprint scanned for use of our cashless catering and library systems.  They will discover which house they will be in and meet their Form Tutor.  The day will help them build new relationships with other students and prepare them for their first day at secondary school in September.

Soon after accepting the place for your child you will be sent an online form to complete.  Please complete this as soon as possible to enable us to set you up on our MIS system.

We are in the process of speaking with Primary Schools across the city to find out more about your child and any needs they may have.  Depending on your child's needs their may be further transition events arranged prior to the end of the summer term.

  • SEN / K codes - We will be in contact with Primary Schools over the coming weeks to find out more about your child.  There will be additional transition events for children who may require a softer introduction to secondary school.
  • MCAS - MyChildAtSchool.  Once all online forms are completed and students are uploaded onto our system, we will be contacting parents / carers to set up the MCAS app.  This enables you to add dinner money on your child's account and pay for trips.
